All of the beeswax candles we carry are made from 100% pure beeswax and cotton wicks. They never contain petroleum-based paraffin wax or lead wicks! Beeswax is a natural substance made by bees in contrast to paraffin. Beeswax candles burn brighter, far longer and with much less soot and do not emit toxins to pollute the air you breathe. In the burning process they emit negative ions that have been shown to clean the air and invigorate the body The “raw” beeswax candles are made with lightly filtered beeswax. Light filtration takes out the right amount of particulate (sometimes the particulate in raw, unfiltered beeswax clogs the wick, resulting in a weak flame) but keeps all of the sweet honey scent. The ivory beeswax candles are highly filtered but not bleached. Ivory beeswax has little or no honey scent. We carry pillars and 10-inch tapers made with both raw and ivory beeswax.
